1. By this public interest litigation the petitioner alleges that the 9th respondent has put up an illegal bridge across the water channel by putting cement pipes and forming a road on top of the cement pipes. It is not clear as to whether the 9th respondent has been granted any permission by the authorities.

2. Therefore, we direct the 6th respondent to conduct a surprise inspection of the concerned area and if it is found that the 9th respondent has illegally put up the bridge by laying cement pipelines, direction should be issued to the 9th respondent to immediately remove the same, failing which the authorities shall be entitled to remove the same and the cost of such exercise shall be recovered from the 9th respondent. However, if the 9th respondent has been permitted to put up the bridge across the water channel, then the representation given by the petitioner dated 16.06.2023

shall be disposed of by passing a reasoned order and communicating the same to the writ petitioner.

3. The above direction be complied with within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

4. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
