Mr. Kajal Roy ... ... for the Petitioners Mr. Suman Sengupta Mr. Gourav Das ... ...for the State Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that on 03.07.2024 in the afternoon at about 2.00 p.m. the landlady of the petitioner and her son along with three anti-social persons with lathis, rod and knife entered into the petitioner tenanted portion of the room and tried to forcefully throw the petitioner out of the household and thereafter petitioner made a complaint before the Officer-in-Charge, Baguihati Police Station but no steps have been taken so far.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that this is a purely a civil dispute between the landlord and tenant and complaint and counter-complaint has been filed by the petitioner as well as the landlord. Learned counsel appearing for the State files a report. Let the report be kept with the record. From the report it is seen that all the complaints made by the landlord have been considered by the police authorities but the complaint made to the Officer-in-Charge, Baguihati Police Station on

04.07.2024 by the petitioner was not considered by the police authorities. The State authorities are directed to consider the complaint made by the petitioner and take necessary steps in this regard and to keep a strict vigil at the property in question and ensure that no physical harm is done to the petitioner or his family members. With the above direction the writ petition being WPA 18673 of 2024 is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
