Learned senior advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, some of the co-accused were granted bail. However, in his usual fairness, he submits that some of the coaccused were granted bail are presently absconding subsequent to their bail being granted.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the petitioner is one of the principal persons involved in the chit fund.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM 7682 of 2021 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Bibhas Ranjan De, J.)
