The petitioner complains that her son has perpetrated a fraud on her and has lodged complaint to the local police.

It appears from the records and submissions of the State that the land in question was originally allotted by the Haldia Development Authority (HDA) jointly in favour of the son and deceased husband of the petitioner.

Since there is prima facie evidence of an allotment of land by the HDA jointly in favour of the son, the petitioner's remedy is to take appropriate steps with the HDA.

It is only after any observation or finding of the HDA that the police can investigate into any alleged fraud that may have been committed by the son. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
