Heard the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.

Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He submits no narcotic substance was recovered from his possession. Learned Advocate for the UOI opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Though no narcotic substance was recovered, other circumstantial evidence have been relied on to support the charge of conspiracy. Date has been fixed for recording prosecution evidence.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial court is directed to conduct the trial with utmost expedition and conclude the same within one year from the
