Mr. Kuntalendu Mondal ...for the petitioner Mr. Somnath Bose ...for the CESC Limited The grievance of the petitioner is that, despite having applied for new electric connection, the CESC Limited has refused such connection on the ground that there will be a splitting of load in the event such connection is given. Such contention is substantiated by Annexure P-1, at page 12 of the writ petition, as well. Since a mechanism has been provided by the relevant Regulations for redressal of such disputes, W.P.A. No. 18651 of 2021 is dismissed as not maintainable, granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer with the dispute, as raised in the present writ petition. If so approached, the Grievance Redressal Officer shall decide the same upon hearing all interested parties in accordance with law, without being influenced by any of the observations made herein.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
