Mr. Debanjan Mukherjee ... for the CESC The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electric connection. Pursuant to earlier orders of Court, the Special Officer had filed a report, which has been circulated to all the parties.

On behalf of CESC Limited, it is submitted that there is no question of providing any electricity connection to the petitioner since the structure is question is temporary and makeshift in nature and constructed using plastic sheets and other non-permanent materials. It is further submitted on behalf of CESC Limited that there is no documentary proof to sanction the temporary nature of the premises. Accordingly, there is no question of providing an electricity connection. It is also submitted on behalf of CESC Ltd.

that the petitioner is obtaining a temporary electricity connection with a block meter and there is no scope of any independent electricity connection.

In view of the Report filed by the Special Officer and in the light of the submissions made on behalf of the respondent CESC Limited, WPA 17355 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to act in accordance with law and comply with all necessary and prescribed formalities before obtaining a permanent electricity connection.
