Mr. Indranil Halder ...for the petitioner Mr. Asif Dewan ..for WBSEDCL Let the instruction filed by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) be taken on record.

The petitioner seeks an electricity connection for operating a submersible pump set. It is submitted that the petitioner has completed all necessary formalities, including the construction of a meter room and completion of the required boring work.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of WBSEDCL submits that the company shall conduct an inspection of the site, and if it is found that all formalities have been duly complied with, electricity connection shall be provided to the petitioner, subject to resolution of any way-leave issues, if applicable.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon WBSEDCL to effect electricity connection in favour of the petitioner within a period of

eight weeks from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all requisite formalities. Accordingly, WPA 17358 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
