The petitioner is serving as an Assistant Teacher in a school with Masters Degree. Her grievance is that another teacher in the said school with Honours qualification is getting more pay than that of the petitioner.

The petitioner seeks direction for protection of pay according to ROPA 2019. A representation from the petitioner before the school was signed by the Headmistress.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition, it does not appear that the prayer of the petitioner reached the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), South 24-Parganas.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with the observation that it will be open for the petitioner to make a comprehensive representation before the District Inspector of Schools

(Secondary Education), South 24-Parganas highlighting her grievances.

In the event such a representation is made, the same shall be considered by the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), South 24-Parganas strictly in accordance with law at the earliest after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties and by passing a reasoned order. 6.

Steps shall be taken in the matter positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of filing such representation.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
