Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the State respondents submits, upon instruction that, payment has been made to the petitioner.

Learned advocate for the petitioner prays for interest on account of the delayed payment.

According to the petitioner, payment was to be made in the year 2013 and the same has been released only in the year 2025.

The petitioner is granted leave to file an application before the concerned authority seeking interest on account of delayed payment of the dues. 5.

In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered by the authority in accordance with the statutory provisions at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If any amount is found due and payable, the same shall be disbursed in favour of the petitioner without any further delay.

7.

Instruction forwarded by the District Magistrate, Howrah dated 15th September, 2025 is kept with the records.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

9.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
