Mr. Sujoy Chakraborty, Ms. Shashwati Bhattacharjee Mr. Utpal Maitra .....for the petitioners Mr. Imran Ali, Mrs. Manasi Roy .....for the State This is an application praying for expeditious disposal of the proceeding in which charge-sheet was submitted under Sections 325, 406, 498A and 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Let a copy of this application be served upon Mr. Imran Ali and Mrs. Manasi Ray, learned counsels who are present in court today and ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. Their engagement may be regularized in due course by the competent authority of the State. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits as follows. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that in this case the FIR was lodged on 26.2.2021. The petitioners are the parents-in-law of the informant. They are aged people and are of ill health. It would be in the interest of justice if the impugned proceeding against them is expedited.

Learned counsel for the State submits that it does not appear that there has been delay in conducting the

proceeding.

I have heard submissions on behalf of the petitioners and the State and have perused the revision petition.

It does not appear that an inordinate delay was caused in conducting the proceedings.

However, it is expected that the learned trial court would conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
