The University authorities did not issue admit cards and/or registration document on the ground that there was deficiency in the documents submitted by the petitioners. However, the examination for the 1st semester is to start on 23rd July, 2024.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University submits that in the event documents are submitted for physical verification tomorrow i.e., on 20.07.2024 by 12 O'clock, the University authorities would be able to issue provisional admit cards and registrations documents.

For balance of convenience and in the interest of justice, the petitioners shall be at liberty to approach

the University authority at its campus in South Calcutta with relevant documents accompanied by College authorities. If the documents are found satisfactory, necessary provisional admit cards and/or registration documents shall be issued in favour of the petitioners so that they can sit for the examination. If documents cannot be issued online, they shall be issued manually.

With these observations, the writ petition is thus disposed of.
