The State has filed a report which is also taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. Some cash and jewellery articles were stolen from the petitioner's house on September 10, 2022. On the very next day, the petitioner lodged an FIR being Ranaghat PS Case No.645 of 2022 under section 380 IPC. Yet, till date neither have the stolen articles been recovered, nor have the accused been arrested.

Investigation has not been done properly.

Learned counsel for the State relies upon the report and submits as follows. Investigation is going on. Complainant and other witness were examined under

section 161 CrPC. Raids were conducted. But nothing could be found with the suspected persons. No fruitful results came out of the CDR and SDR analysis reports. I have heard learned counsel for the respective parties and perused the writ petition and the report filed by the State.

It appears that investigation is going on in the case under section 380 IPC. It further appears that the police have taken necessary steps.

Let the investigation officer take appropriate steps so that the matter can be brought to a logical conclusion. He is directed to conclude the investigation expeditiously and in accordance with law.

With the above observations, WPA No.17635 of 2023 stands disposed of. No order as to costs. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
