The petitioner claims that his signature was obtained against payment of sums of Rs.37,614/- from the Employees Co-operative Credit Society run at Ichhapur Panchagrami High School. It is, however, claimed that a sum of Rs.20,000/- from the aforesaid amount has not been given to him. An enquiry was conducted by the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Purba Medinipur Range in this regard. The petitioner's remedy is under Section 102 of the WBCS Act, 2006 under which he may raise a dispute that may be taken into arbitration.

This Court sees that the dispute is primarily civil in nature and the Nandakumar Police Station has little role to play in the matter.

In those circumstances, with liberty reserved to the petitioner, as indicated herein above, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
