Mr. Satyaranjan Kundu Mr. Sudhir Kr. Das ... For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of proceeding being Criminal Revision no. 105 of 2024 pending before the learned Sessions Judge, Barasat, North 24 Parganas the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that by an order passed on 4th May, 2024 in connection with Bidhannagar (North) Police Station case no. 125 of 2023, the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar directed the Nodal Officer of the concerned bank to take up the issue of defreezing bank accounts enumerated in the report of the investigating officer subject to the petitioner furnishing a bond of the amount equal to that of the frozen amount and further condition that he would return the amount back to the Court as and when called for. Learned counsel submits that bond has been furnished by the petitioner in terms of the said order. The order was assailed by the opposite party before the learned Sessions Judge, North 24 Parganas at Barasat and by the order

impugned, the learned Judge has directed interim stay of the order passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. Despite several dates being fixed for hearing of the revisional application, the application is still pending and the Bank account of the petitioner is lying frozen. Learned counsel further submits that next date of hearing of the revisional application before the learned Judge is fixed on 22nd November, 2024.

In view of the fact that the petitioner is unable to take further steps till the revisional application is disposed of by the learned Judge, learned Judge/revisional Court is directed to dispose of the application on the next date of hearing fixed before him and if the same is not possible due to unavoidable circumstances, the criminal revision be disposed of within two weeks thereafter, in accordance with law.

The revisional application is disposed of.
