This writ petition was instituted praying for a direction upon the Inspector-in-Charge, Kharagpur Town Police Station to render police protection at the time of demolition of the petitioners' premises. The dispute arose in the year 2007.

I am of the view that with the passage of time, this writ petition has become infructuous.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. All connected applications, if any, are also dismissed.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
