The petitioner is not represented when the matter is taken up for hearing.

It appears from the instructions of Inspector-incharge, Burdwan Police Station and submissions of Ms. Sanyal that Burdwan Police Station Police Station Case No. 789 of 2022 dated 18.07.2022 under Sections 363/365 of the Indian Penal Code was registered as regards the missing Pinki Das.

When the Investigating Officer of the case contacted with the said Pinki Das, she refused to recognize the petitioner no.1, namely, Arindam Ghosh. In that view of the matter, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in this writ petition, and the same shall stand disposed of.

The instructions of Burdwan Police Station dated 24th August, 2022 addressed to the State Advocate be taken on record.

There will be no order as to costs.
