The University authorities did not issue registration document and admit card on the ground that there was deficiency in the documents submitted by the petitioners. However, the examination for the 1st semester is to start on 23rd July, 2024.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University submits that in the event relevant documents are submitted for physical verification tomorrow i.e., on 20.07.2024 by 12 O'clock, the University authorities would be able to issue provisional admit cards and registrations documents.

For balance of convenience and in the interest of justice, the petitioners shall be at liberty to approach the University authority at its campus in South Calcutta with relevant documents at such time and date.

If the documents are found satisfactory, necessary provisional admit cards registration documents shall be issued in favour of the petitioners. If such documents cannot be issued online, the same shall be issued manually.

With these observations, the writ petition is thus disposed of.
