The petitioner is aggrieved for inaction of the police authorities and to that effect information was furnished to the police authorities by a communication dated 24.07.2025. The State has submitted a report. The report reflects regarding the registration of Krishnagar Women Police State PS Case No. 70 of 2025 which is under Sections 85/89//109/316(2)/3(5) of the BNS and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner's further grievance was that since the respondent was associated with Police Department, he was never arrested. Report reflects that on 07.08.2025 the principal accused, namely, Ashraful Rahaman was arrested and on 08.08.2025 he was forwarded to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Krishnagar Court.

Having considered that the police authorities have taken steps in accordance with law, I am of the view interference of this Court is unwarranted. The Investigating

Officer would take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA No. 17500 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the records. Copy of the report be handed over to the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner.
