Report filed by the State is also taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had applied for the post of Muslim Marriage Registrar, South 24 Parganas for Ekbalpore Police Station jurisdiction. However, the private respondent was selected for the said post. There was an inquiry started in respect of such appointment. The petitioner prays that a report may be filed expeditiously in respect of such inquiry.

Learned counsel for the State challenges the locus of the petitioner to raise such an issue.

Learned counsel for the private respondent denies the allegations and submits that a report has already been filed pursuant to an inquiry in this regard. In view of the fact that the petitioner's grievance that the report of the inquiry should be submitted, has already been redressed inasmuch as such report has, in fact, been submitted, no further order need be passed in this regard.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of without any further order, even as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
