The office report states that the application is not traceable. We have gone through the order passed in the writ petition dated 16th April, 2014, which is impugned in this appeal and we find that the direction issued was to deposit the amount in terms of the notice issued under Section 8 of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 with the Certificate Officer.

By efflux of time, nothing would survive for adjudication in this appeal.

Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
