The petitioners contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023.

They allege that despite complaint lodged before the respondent authorities highlighting the brutalities, vandalism, rigging on the day of the poll, no steps have been taken by the respondent authorities to redress the issue.

On a perusal of the documents annexed to the writ petition, it appears that complaints were sought to

be lodged through electronic mail but as the recipient's inbox was full, the message could not be delivered. There is nothing on record to show that the complaint sought to be lodged by the petitioners was at all received by the respondent authorities.

Be it recorded that the election was conducted on 8th July, 2023. The instant writ petition has been filed on 27th July, 2023, that is after considerable delay. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant writ petition. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
