Learned Public Prosecutor, High Court, Calcutta places a report of the Superintendent, Midnapore Central Correctional Home dated 11th December, 2024 indicating that the appellant was prematurely released pursuant to the order of the Hon'ble Governor of the State of West Bengal dated 16th October, 2023.

The said report of the Superintendent, Midnapore Central Correctional Home dated 11th December, 2024 is kept with the record.

In that view of the matter, C.R.A. No. 490 of 2016 has become infructuous and disposed of as such.
