Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of information furnished to the Officer-in-Charge, Berhampore Police Station on 18.07.2025, no steps were taken. Petitioner complains that deed of conveyance was fabricated and the signature of the petitioner's husband was forged.

State has submitted a report which reflects that a partition suit is pending, although the same is disputed by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

Having considered that the petitioner is much more worried about the act and action of the police authorities, I direct that since no criminal case is pending particularly with regard to the

representation dated 18.07.2025, petitioner will approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of law after complying of the necessary formalities for invoking the said provisions. Learned Magistrate would assess and ascertain regarding the genuinity of the allegations and thereafter pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 17596 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
