Exception filed by the petitioner to the affidavit-ofcompliance filed by the alleged contemnor is taken on record.

By order dated January 7, 2021 the writ petition was disposed of by directing the Chairman of the Bank to take necessary steps for disbursal of the superannuation dues of the petitioner in accordance with law.

Certain dues of the petitioner have been paid. According to the petitioner, the entire due is yet to be paid. He is entitled to receive money on other heads, as his terminal benefits. An earlier writ petition filed by the petitioner is also pending consideration.

I am of the opinion that, the correctness of the amount that has been paid to the petitioner cannot be gone into in the contempt proceeding.

It will be open for the petitioner to challenge the action of the contemnor/respondent in an appropriate proceeding, if so advised.

The contempt application accordingly stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
