Learned counsel appearing for the State files report. Let the report be kept with the record. Learned counsel appearing for the State on instruction submits that if the petitioner prays for police protection, the police is ready to grant the same but on the basis of costs as prescribed under the Regulation.

Learned counsel appearing for the private respondent is present.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

If the petitioner desires to enjoy/avail police protection then the petitioner shall make necessary

application before the concerned police authorities and the police authorities shall depute a lady officer for protection but on costs to be paid by the petitioner as assessed by the police authorities.

With the above directions the writ petition being WPA 18508 of 2024 is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
