The Court has seen the report of the Officer-inCharge, Howrah Police Station dated 09.12.2021. It appears that criminal proceeding being Howrah P. S. Case No. 206 of 2018 dated 23.04.2018 under Sections 143/447/385/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code is pending.

This Court is, therefore, of the view that the Gun License of the petitioner cannot be renewed at this stage. The petitioner may reiterate his request for renewal of license after conclusion of the aforesaid criminal case.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
