Case No. 177 of 2021 dated 17/07/2021 under Sections 503/506 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 66C/66D/67/67A of The Information Technology Act, 2000; (GR Case No.800 of 2021). And In the matter of: - Shyamadas Chatterjee & Anr. ...petitioners.
Mr. Biswajit Hazra ...for the petitioners.
Mr. Bivas Chatterjee ...for the State.
Mr. Sujoy Sarkar ... for the de facto complainant.
Petitioners seek anticipatory bail.
Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were falsely implicated. Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents in the case diary. He submits that despite the mobile phone of the petitioners being seized, the petitioners are persisting with the same offence. The de facto complainant is represented.
Considering the materials in the case diary and considering the conduct of the petitioners and the gravity of the offence and the stand taken by the State, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.
C.R.M. 7757 of 2021 is dismissed.
