The compounding charges, which were earlier directed to be paid with WBSEDCL, has been complied with by the petitioner.

Having regard to the facts of the present case, I am of the opinion that further continuance of the proceedings being Singur Police Station Case No. 182 of 2023 dated 16.05.2023 under Section 138(1)(b) of the Electricity Act, 2003 corresponding to Electricity Case No. 99 of 2023 pending before the learned Judge, Electricity Act of Hooghly is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the said proceedings being Electricity Case No. 99 of 2023 arising out of Singur Police Station Case No. 182 of 2023 dated 16.05.2023 is hereby quashed.

Consequently, the revisional application being CRR 2741 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
