Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had applied for registration to a B.Ed. course at the Kazi Nazrul Islam B.Ed. College under the Baba Saheb Ambedkart Education University. There was no deficiency pointed out by the University in the application form. Yet, the petitioner was unable to

have the registration done at the website of the University.

Initially, it was shown that applications submitted, which were all eligible. Now, the website shows that 99 applications were made, which were eligible. It appears that there is a technical fault for which neither the petitioner nor the college are responsible.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the College authority submits that an application was indeed made by the petitioner for registration, but the same could not fructify. This is despite the fact that petitioner's name appears in the list of candidates for registration of the B.Ed. course of the University. Learned advocate for the University denies the allegations and submits that instructions are required to be taken in respect of the fate of the purported application made by the petitioner. However, in the event the petitioner comes with a copy of the application form and relevant documents, physical verification can be done for the same.

For balance of convenience and in the interest of justice, the petitioner is granted liberty to produce relevant documents before the University at its campus at South Calcutta tomorrow i.e., on 20th July, 2024 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. After physical verification, if the University authorities are satisfied

with the explanation regarding alleged mismatch in marks, they shall grant necessary provisional registration, admit card documents so that the petitioner can sit in the examination. In the event, online documents cannot be issued, the University shall issue those documents manually.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of.

Parties shall act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
