On the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the Officer-in-Charge, Nabadwip Police Station registered a general diary. The allegation is that the petitioner, who is a senior citizen, is being tortured by her son.

The police authorities shall enquire and take preventive measures.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
