The petitioners complain that the private respondents have tortured them and essential services to their residence have been blocked. It is submitted that a road has been illegally constructed in front of the residence of the petitioners.

The writ petitioners have lodged a complaint with the local police station but in vain.

Learned counsel for the State submits that proceedings under Section 107 of the Code of Civil Procedure have been drawn up against the private respondents. Insofar as the petitioners' grievance on construction of a road in front of their residence which is not a private land, he may approach a civil or

statutory forum in this regard.

However, the Bhowanipore police station, Dist. Purba Medinipur shall ensure there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area.

In the event of any complaint of any harassment, FIR shall be registered forthwith and coercive measures shall be taken by the police. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
