The petitioner prays for setting aside/cancellation of a Deed which was registered in the year 1986 when he was a minor. The petitioner is currently aged about 54 years.

The Court is of the opinion that the petitioner ought to have approached the competent Court immediately after he attained majority or after he got knowledge of the illegal act complained of. 4.

The subject document is a deed of sale allegedly executed by the petitioner and the petitioner is out of possession of the said property for a long period of time. At such a delayed point of time, the prayer of the petitioner made before the District Magistrate for cancellation of the subject deed cannot be directed to be considered.

It will be open for the petitioner to avail the remedy before the competent forum in accordance with law, if so advised.

The writ petition stands dismissed.
