APP Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ....for the State This is an application seeking expeditious disposal of the proceeding in Case No. BGR- 1915 of 2015 under Sections 341, 506 read with Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code pending before the Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas.

Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. Although the present case was initiated as far back as in 2015, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. Trial has started. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault of the present petitioners. The petitioner no. 2 is a government servant whose service has got effected because of the pendency of the present proceeding.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that it would be in the interest of justice that the proceeding of the present case is expedited.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioners and the State and have perused the revision petition. No prejudice will be caused to any one if a direction is passed for an expeditious disposal of this proceeding. Since the case was started in 2015, there has indeed been a delay in concluding tshe proceeding. In the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice, I request the learned trial court to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
