1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner alleges that electric supply connection cannot be given to the petitioner because of the obstruction raised by the private respondents. 3.

Learned advocate representing the private respondents submits, upon instruction that, no obstruction will be made for grant of electricity connection to the petitioner provided the meter is placed at the same place where the meter board is situated.

4. Learned advocate representing the CESC Limited submits that connection could not be effected because of the obstruction raised by the private respondents.

5. Electricity being an essential commodity the petitioner ought not to be deprived from enjoying the same.

6. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing CESC Limited to provide electricity connection to the petitioner strictly in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

7. It will be open for the CESC personnel to seek police assistance from the Officer-in-Charge, Bhadreshwar Police Station for the purpose of effecting the electricity supply subject to the payment of charges by the petitioner.

The private respondents are restrained from obstructing the men and agents of CESC Limited at the time of providing connection to the petitioner.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
