Podder Mr. Subir Sabud ... ... for the Petitioner Ms. Jhuma Chakraborty Ms. Munmun Tewary ... ...for the State Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and his family are the owners of a land measuring 80 decimals, which was purchased by the petitioner and his family way back in 1976.

Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner and his family have been cultivating their own land but the private respondents having no legal title or right, have ousted the petitioner and his family members from the said land. In addition, the private respondents have also threatened him and his family members of physical assault and murder. The petitioner filed a complaint regarding the same before the Officer-in-Charge, Khejuri Police Station on 10.06.2024 but no steps have been taken so far. Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that after receiving the complaint all necessary steps have been taken by the Police authorities vide Khejuri Police Station NCR No.719/24 dated 20.07.2024 under

Section 107 Cr.P.C. Report filed by the State is kept with the record.

Heard the parties at length.

The police authorities shall keep a strict vigil at the locale and particularly on to the land in question of the petitioner and ensure that no breach of peace takes place. The police shall also safeguard the petitioner, family members and the property of the petitioner. With the above direction the writ petition being WPA 18606 of 2024 is disposed of.

No order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
