It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that despite having made an application as far back as in April, 2025, the respondent authorities have still not made available an electricity connection.

On behalf of private respondent, it is submitted that there are private civil disputes, which are pending in the partition suit by and between the petitioner and the private respondent.

On behalf of WBSEDCL, it is submitted that they have no objection in providing such electricity connection.

In view of the above, WPA 18475 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing WBSEDCL to

provide an electricity connection after complying with all statutory formalities within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

In in case of any obstruction, WBSEDCL is at liberty to approach the concerned police authorities having jurisdiction. It is clarified that any payment in respect of police assistance would be made by the petitioner.

It is clarified that the above order shall not create any equity in the pending civil suit.
