1. From the report of the Assistant Passport Officer, Regional Passport Office, Kolkata dated 17th June, 2025, it appears that the earlier application of the petitioner elapsed one year back and the petitioner is required to apply afresh with requisite fees and documents.

2. The petitioner shall take steps in accordance with law for the purpose of obtaining the passport.

3. The transgender identity card of the petitioner shall be taken into account at the time of consideration of the petitioner's application for passport.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
