Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate was engaged by this Court for the State and was directed to take instruction in respect of the progress of ST No.01(02)2022 arising out of Titagarh Police Station Case No.229 of 2008.

Mr. Ganguly's appointment may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

Mr. Ganguly informs this Court that the Public Prosecutor in this case has already been changed and steps would effectively be taken by the prosecution for concluding the trial with utmost efficiency. Till date only one witness has been examined nine witnesses are still left to be examined.

Accordingly, I direct that the learned trial court would fix a schedule on and from 24th November, 2023 of three dates and such schedule should be fixed once in a every twenty days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties.

The Public Prosecutor conducting the case would produce the material documents and exhibits on the date fixed for hearing.

The Deputy Commissioner of police, in-charge of Titagarh Police Station would act as nodal officer in this case and in case any witness is absent on the date so fixed, the learned trial court would communicate with him for ensuring the presence of the witnesses or the report to be submitted in respect of the witnesses. All efforts be taken by the stakeholders to cooperate with the trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2758 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consdequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
