Mrs. Zareen N. Khan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor along with Mr. Prakash Mishra who ordinarily represent on behalf of the State, are requested to appear in this matter to represent the State.

Their appointments may be regularized by the Office of the Public Prosecutor, High Court, Calcutta. 3.
Having heard the submissions of the learned Counsel for the State as well as on perusal of the records, this Court finds that this matter can be disposed of even in the absence of the petitioner, since the matter is pending for a long period.

The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of ST 01(03)2017/SC 07(01)2017 arising out of Joynagar Police Station Case No. 1305 of 2016 NDPS Case No. 81 of 2016 under Section 20(C) of the NDPS Act now pending before the
learned Judge, Special Court, under NDPS Act, Additional Sessions Judge, 12th Court, Alipore.

This case is pending since 2017.

Considering the long pendency of the matter, this Court directs the learned Trial Court to dispose of the case and come to its logical conclusion, if not already disposed of, as expeditiously as possible without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2349 of 2017 is, thus, disposed of.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned Court below for necessary compliance. 9.
All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
