The petitioner made consecutive applications for transfer from her present school to other. The last application was filed on 24th September, 2021 which was come back on the ground of single teacher.

The question of transferability of single teacher came into effect with the Amendment of General Transfer Rules, 2015, which was published in the Calcutta Gazettee on 8th September, 2021. Therefore, the case of the petitioner is covered by the amended General Transfer Rules, 2015.

I direct the concerned District Inspector of Schools to follow the circular dated 22nd September, 2022 for making a local arrangement within a reasonable period of time and to communicate the decision to the petitioner as to the local arrangement by three months from date.

With the above observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of. (Abhijit Gangopadhyay, J.)
