The petitioner applied for grant of permanent stage carriage permit for plying Maxi Cab on the route Sangam Cinema Hall to Birohi via Check Post, Soguna, Madanpur before the Regional Transport Authority, Nadia in prescribed form upon depositing requisite fees on 20th January, 2014 which is not considered by the authority till date. The innocuous prayer of the petitioner is to consider the application at the earliest.
Upon considering the submission made on behalf of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner dated 20th January, 2014 within two months from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested persons including the petitioner, in accordance with law.
The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof.
With the above directions, WPA 17369 of 2018 is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
