Ms. Juin Dutta Chakraborty ....for the petitioner The petitioner complains that the private respondents, sister-in-law and mother-in-law, are preventing her from constructing a permanent structure on a property under her possession. The petitioner has been living in a bamboo shed with a plastic sheet affixed on it. The petitioner complains that there was no disturbance from the in-laws with regard to her possession of the property.

This Court is of the view that the grievance of the petitioner against the private respondents is purely civil in nature and there are appropriate civil proceedings that may be taken out to redress the same.

However, in respect of the FIR being No. 259 of 2022 registered by the Narendrapur Police Station dated March 23, 2022, it is ordered that investigation be completed as expeditiously as possible and a report in final form be submitted before the Jurisdictional Magistrate.

In view of the above, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
