Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Baisali Basu, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Mr. Kar, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that case No. S.T.-8(9)2016 arising out of Ghola Police Station Case No. 306 of 2012 dated 04.08.2012 is pending for a considerable period of time before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track 1st Court, Barrackpore and till date, out of proposed 15 witnesses sought to be cited by the prosecution, only one witness has been examined.

Having regard to the submissions advanced by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, I am of the view that the anxiety so expressed is justified. Accordingly, the learned trial court is directed to fix at least a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule on and from the next date on each and every month till conclusion of the trial. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties.

Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would make available all materials, exhibits and documents on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses. All efforts be taken by the parties to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2945 of 2022 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
