The petitioners contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023.

The petitioners seek for re-poll on account of several illegalities allegedly committed on the day of the election and also at the time of counting. Several representations were filed before the Panchayat Returning Officer and the Commissioner of the State Election Commission. The petitioners allege that none were taken up for consideration.

Be it recorded that the election was conducted on 8th July, 2023 and the result was declared on 11th July, 2023.

The present writ petition was filed on 26th July, 2023.

The prayer of the writ petition at such belated stage cannot entertain by the Court.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
