Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. Allegation against the petitioner is that he was involved in the dacoity in which the alleged miscreants, while fleeing from the spot hurled bombs and fired at police personnel. A civic volunteer has expired. Country made pipe gun and live ammunition have been recovered pursuant to the leading statement of the petitioner. Some of the stolen articles have also been recovered from him and identified in test identification parade. The petitioner has 7 criminal antecedents to his credit.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
