The petitioners submit that their land was taken over and utilised by the Irrigation Department, Government of West Bengal, for construction of 'ring bandh'. The land was neither acquired, nor any compensation was paid for the same. The petitioners submitted a representation before the concerned Authority on 8th March, 2013 ventilating their grievance, but the said representation is yet to be disposed of. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the Authority to consider the representation at the earliest. Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the 7th respondent to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioners dated 8th March, 2013 within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties including the petitioners, in accordance with law. The

decision taken by the 7th respondent be communicated to the 4th respondent within a week thereafter.

W.P.A. 16900 of 2019 is thus disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
