However, the main issue for which the petitioners are facing inconveniences relate to egress and ingress at their residence because of certain illegal construction.

The issue relating to illegal construction may not be the domain of the police authorities.

But, if the petitioners, till date, faces same inconveniences of egress and ingress, the police authorities would ensure that there

is free egress and ingress of the present petitioners at their residence.

The petitioner, to that effect, will submit a fresh representation before the police authorities in continuation of his earlier representation dated 18.07.2022.

The Inspector-in-charge of the English Bazar Police Station would assess the correctness of the submissions so advanced regarding egress and ingress, thereafter, only to the limited extent of egress and ingress would ensure that no obstruction is faced by the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 18289 of 2022 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner.
