Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties in terms of deed of settlement executed by and between them on 8th February, 2024. The private opposite parties do not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. The proceedings being GR case no. 173 of 2020 pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 8th Court, Calcutta, presently redesignated as the learned Judicial Magistrate, 8th Court, Calcutta, be quashed.

CRR 3112 of 2024 and CRAN 1 of 2024 are disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
