The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023.

The petitioner seeks recounting. Prayer for recounting was made long after declaration of the result.

According to the provisions of law, the prayer for recounting is required to be made on the day of counting, prior to declaration of result.

The same not being done, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
